#INN already cut their dividends and I suspect other hotel and resort REITs will follow very soon. - Muchomas - 2020-04-27 19:42:05 - See full comment
By #INN halting their dividends this will save them $19 million of cash quarterly, or $75 million on an annualized basis. Think about that, $75 million is just over half of the $140 million in unrestricted cash balance they have available at the moment. - LLNN - 2020-04-25 14:55:47 - See full comment
I imagine it has been very painful cuts, but thank you and congratulations Summit Hotel’s team for taking these cost-saving initiatives during Covid19. To highlight them here they include a voluntary 25% reduction of salaries and fees for executive officers and independent Board of Directors. Approximately 25% of the corporate-level staff has been furloughed and salary reductions have been implemented for the majority of employees not subject to furlough. The Company will pay 100% of employer and employee medical premiums during the furlough period for affected employees. #INN is also previously announced liquidity enhancement measures taken which included significant hotel-level cost reduction initiatives, postponement of all non-essential capital expenditures, the intention to suspend common stock and operating partnership unit distributions, and a revolving credit facility draw that resulted in a current unrestricted corporate cash balance of approximately $140 million. Hopefully, they can return to a normalized situation soon. - Kodibearb - 2020-04-25 11:34:17 - See full comment

Overall REITRating™ Score
REITRating is REITNote's Real Estate Investment Trust industry-specific rating and ranking system. The REIT’s score for each analysis is out of ten points, with ten being the best score and zero being the worst. A score of zero can be assigned if the REIT does not meet the criteria for that specific analysis. N/A is assigned if insufficient data is available for a particular analysis. Our REITRating logic is continuously improving, so a REIT’s rating and ranking may change over time. Important Note: REITRating is not a predictor of a REIT’s future performance, it is an evaluation of its past results. Additionally, the REITRating system is for informational purposes only and does not represent financial or investment advice or a recommendation of which REITs to acquire. Learn more.
