About Senior Housing Properties Trust

Senior Housing Properties Trust (Nasdaq: SNH) is a real estate investment trust, or REIT, which owns independent and assisted living communities; continuing care retirement communities; skilled nursing facilities; medical office buildings leased to medical providers, medical related businesses, clinics and biotech laboratory tenants; as well as wellness centers located throughout the United States. As of June 30, 2017, SNH owns an $8.6 billion investment portfolio consisting of 434 properties in 42 states and Washington, D.C. SNH became a publicly traded REIT in 1999. The company has been investment grade rated since 2001 and is included in a number of financial indices, including the S&P 400 MidCap Index, the Russell 1000® Index, the MSCI US REIT Index, the FTSE EPRA/NAREIT United States Index and the S&P REIT Composite Index.
