About Camden Property Trust


Camden Property Trust (CPT) was founded in 1982 by Ric Campo and Keith Oden. The company, headquartered in Houston, Texas, was structured as a REIT and completed an initial public offering in 1993. Camden is one of the largest publicly traded apartment communities companies in the United States. Camden Property Trust is primarily engaged in the ownership, management, development, redevelopment, acquisition, and construction of multifamily apartment communities. As of December 31, 2016, the company owned interests in 159 apartment communities containing 55,366 apartment units.
